NATCO Pharma Limited has launched Carboplatin Injection in the United States through its subsidiary, NATCO Pharma USA LLC. The generic version of Paraplatin® is being manufactured in collaboration with Chennai-based Teyro Labs and is intended to help address a shortage of the medicine in the US market.

Carboplatin Injection is indicated for the treatment of advanced ovarian carcinoma, including first-line combination therapy and palliative treatment of recurrent disease following prior chemotherapy. Patients and healthcare professionals should refer to the product’s full prescribing information for complete indications, limitations and important safety information.

According to industry sales data cited by NATCO, Carboplatin Injection recorded estimated US sales of USD 27.8 million for the 12 months ended June 2026. The launch adds to the company’s portfolio of generic pharmaceutical products in the US, where it focuses on medicines with limited competition.

The product launch reflects NATCO’s approach to developing and commercialising generic medicines through its research, manufacturing and commercial capabilities, supported by collaborations with manufacturing partners. NATCO Pharma Limited is headquartered in Hyderabad and develops, manufactures and distributes generic and branded pharmaceuticals, specialty medicines, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and crop protection products. The company has a research-oriented business model and a presence in oncology and targeted therapies in the Indian market.

Its product portfolio covers several therapeutic areas, with a focus on complex and limited-competition medicines in international markets. The company continues to develop products intended to address treatment needs across multiple healthcare categories. NATCO operates nine manufacturing sites and two research and development facilities in India. Its manufacturing facilities have approvals from several regulatory authorities, including the US Food and Drug Administration, Brazil’s ANVISA, Health Canada and the World Health Organization. The company supplies products to more than 50 global markets.

The US pharmaceutical market has experienced shortages of certain medicines due to supply and manufacturing constraints. NATCO said the launch of Carboplatin Injection would help address the current shortage of the product. The company did not provide further details on anticipated supply volumes or distribution timelines. The collaboration with Teyro Labs combines NATCO’s US commercial operations with manufacturing support from its partner. The launch also strengthens NATCO Pharma USA’s presence in the US generic medicines market.
