The Mumbai Urja Marg, a critical inter-state transmission project designed to enhance the power supply to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region by 2,000 MW, is set for its official inauguration. This policy change allowed the Mumbai Urja Marg project to be completed within 20 months, following over a decade of delays.
The project has been closely monitored by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who prioritized its completion by overcoming various technical challenges. The successful implementation of this project is seen as vital to meeting the increasing energy needs of Greater Mumbai and ensuring a stable and sustainable power supply for the city’s future.
