According to Founder and CEO Harry Bajaj, the increasing use of lithium-ion batteries presents both challenges and opportunities. “This model presents a strong business case for companies aiming to participate in the expanding green economy while delivering real environmental impact,” Bajaj stated. “Our first strategic partnership marks a significant step forward in shaping India’s battery recycling ecosystem, estimated at $13 billion.”
In the initial phase, Mobec plans to focus on capacity development, ensuring that financial and environmental sustainability remain central for all stakeholders involved. The company is currently engaged in advanced discussions with potential partners in other regions to further expand the initiative.
