Heath Consultants Incorporated, based in Houston, has agreed to provide its technical solutions to assist MNGL in various areas such as gas line location services, prevention of underground utility damage, waste heat recovery, and the implementation of low-emission valves. Under the terms of the agreement, Heath will contribute to enhancing MNGL’s operational efficiency, environmental practices, and safety measures through the provision of technical consulting, services, and products.

Sanjay Sharma, MNGL’s Commercial Director, and Paul Wehnert, Executive Vice President of Health Consultants, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Expressing enthusiasm, Mr Wehnert stated that Health is eager to engage with MNGL in the transfer of technology and associated field services. The partnership, which includes Josler Hydrocarbons as an Indian ally, aims to mitigate methane emissions and enhance public safety within MNGL’s operational footprint in India.

During the event, Mr Manjunath expressed that the collaboration in energy between India and the US has seen substantial growth in recent years through the Agenda 2030 Partnership. He highlighted the expanded areas of focus within this partnership, including clean energy, climate technologies, renewables, and hydrogen.

In addition to the conventional oil and gas sector, there is an emphasis on fostering technology collaboration. Mr Manjunath welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), considering it a positive development in furthering technological cooperation between the two nations.

Nolty Theriot, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy at USISPF emphasized the importance of mitigating methane emissions for advancing climate action. The recent partnership between Heath and MNGL will highlight cutting-edge technologies and practices for methane control, demonstrating effective solutions to reduce carbon emissions in India.

This collaboration is a component of the broader energy cooperation between India and the US, as underscored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden in the announcement of the US-India Climate and Clean Energy Agenda 2030 Partnership.

Unveiled at the Leaders’ Summit on Climate in April 2021, the Agenda 2030 Partnership was established to expedite advancements towards collective climate and clean energy objectives. This collaboration encompasses two avenues of involvement: the Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP) and the Climate Action and Finance Mobilization Dialogue.

Subsequently, in response to evolving priorities within the ‘Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP),’ the US-India Gas Task Force underwent a name change to become the ‘Low Emissions Gas Task Force.’
