MM Forgings Ltd., a leading steel forgings company, has seen a notable improvement in its EBITDA margins and expects to sustain this performance through the end of the current fiscal year. Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vidyashankar Krishnan expressed confidence that the company is on track to maintain margins close to 20%.

“We observed a stable quarter, with both revenue and net profit rising by around 3%. Our EBITDA margins have climbed from 17.4% to 19.1%, indicating a solid improvement,” said Krishnan. He added, “We believe that the 20% margin is achievable and sustainable.”

The company has been heavily investing in its heavy forgings division over recent years. A key development is the acquisition of a 16,500-tonne hot forging press, the largest of its kind globally. Krishnan revealed that commercial production with this press, which will allow the company to produce large forgings between 150–250 kg, is expected to begin in the first half of FY26. The new press will enable the production of components like front axle beams, crankshafts, and certain railway products, positioning MM Forgings among the top global producers using mechanical presses.

Despite a sluggish export market, the company’s new product offerings are expected to help sustain revenue. Krishnan mentioned that while export revenue is anticipated to remain range-bound due to global market conditions, it should still account for 38–40% of the company’s total revenue.
