In line with its vision to spread awareness and practical knowledge about semiconductors, the Semiconductor & Devices department of Mitsubishi Electric has been consistently supporting the semiconductors and devices lab projects across the country.
In the initial phase of this philanthropic endeavour, Mitsubishi Electric supported two technical education institutions by providing educational material and advanced training methods. Building on this success, the company has now embarked on the second phase of the project, preparing educational kits and equipment for three prestigious technical institutions: Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru, and Institute of Technology, NIRMA University in Ahmedabad. These kits aim to impart practical knowledge of semiconductor devices, benefitting around 700 students across these colleges.
The educational material prepared by the Semiconductor & Devices department includes crucial components like IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor Module), SiC (Silicon Carbide) Module, IPMs (Intelligent Power Modules), DIPIPMs, DIPIPM (Dual In Line IPM) Evaluation PCBA with controller, IGBT Gate Drivers, Application notes, and more. These kits have been generously supplied to the labs of the three colleges. Mitsubishi Electric is committed to giving back to society through such partnerships, fostering technological upliftment in India, and advancing its CSR initiative by empowering the youth with technical advancements in the semiconductor industry.
Mr. Hitesh Bhardwaj, General Manager, Semiconductor and Devices division, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd., inaugurated the Power Semiconductor devices set up at the labs of these esteemed institutions. Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Bhardwaj highlighted the increasing demand for practical learning in the semiconductor field and expressed his delight in collaborating with these impactful institutions in the engineering and technology domain. He stated, “Our skill development CSR initiative has supported numerous students across the country, empowering the youth to contribute towards the development of indigenous technology that is sustainable for India.”
