Mistral Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of AXISCADES Technologies Limited, a leader in providing chip-to-product solutions for Defense, Electronics, Semiconductor, and Artificial Intelligence applications, has unveiled the DCP1000 Module. This compact and versatile Radar Data Capture and Playback Module is specifically designed for real-time streaming and playback of mmWave Radar data.
Utilizing the low-power, award-winning Lattice Nexus™ FPGA platform, the DCP1000 ensures high-speed, low-latency data capture with Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) playback capabilities. Early samples of the module are now available.
The DCP1000 module is engineered to capture raw ADC data from various Texas Instruments’ mmWave radar modules via LVDS, allowing real-time data processing with ease. The module efficiently streams the data to a host PC through a 1Gbps Ethernet connection, offering optimal performance for autonomous systems, industrial automation, and advanced sensing. The 8-bit DMM/Trace interface supports HIL playback, making it an essential tool for radar data processing, calibration, and testing applications.
The system features a versatile LVDS interface designed to capture raw ADC data from TI radar sensors, enabling efficient data processing. It also includes a DMM/Trace interface for radar data playback in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations, along with SPI and I2C interfaces for system configuration and control. The intuitive QT-based graphical user interface allows users to configure settings, capture data, and visualize results directly on a host PC, enhancing the overall user experience.
Additionally, the system seamlessly integrates with TI’s mmWave Studio, facilitating raw data capture and post-processing workflows. Built on the powerful Lattice CertusPro™-NX FPGA with up to 100K logic cells, it offers robust processing capabilities. The system is equipped with 2GB of LPDDR4 memory and features a 1Gbps Ethernet port with an RJ45 connection, ensuring high-speed data transfer for demanding applications.
The DCP1000 module includes a comprehensive software package, featuring a QT-based Host PC application for configuring, capturing, and visualizing radar data. The module supports firmware updates, advanced signal processing, and real-time visualization, all designed to improve the radar development experience.
“The DCP1000 transforms radar system development by introducing cutting-edge technology for high-speed data capture, playback, and seamless integration with TI’s mmWave Radar systems. This significantly accelerates the development and validation process for radar-based applications,” said Muralikrishnan D, CEO of Mistral Solutions. “This product is a testament to Mistral’s commitment to innovation, as well as our strong partnerships with Lattice Semiconductor and Texas Instruments.”
“We are focused on advancing industrial automation through our low-power FPGA solutions and high-performance connectivity,” added Jerry Xu, President of APAC at Lattice Semiconductor. “We look forward to working with Mistral to enhance real-time radar data processing and module integration for our customers.”
The DCP1000 Module is available for early samples starting today. Priced at $649, it can be ordered through the Mistral Webstore. Official lead time for orders is 6 to 7 weeks.
