In celebration of MSME Day, the 8th edition of the Metro MSME Conclave & Awards will be held on 27th June 2025 at The South Park Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram. Organised by Metro Media, this event aims to recognise and honour the remarkable contributions of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in driving India’s economic growth and innovation.
This year, the conclave brings together policymakers, business leaders, and MSME champions for an engaging afternoon of panel discussions, success stories, and awards. One of the event’s highlights will be a special panel discussion led by Hari Shanker, Founder of Machine Maker and Publisher of Metro Mart, focusing on the role of MSMEs in building India’s global manufacturing strength.
“Indian MSMEs in the manufacturing sector are evolving into global role models through cost-effective production, innovation, adaptability, and value-driven entrepreneurship. This is a defining moment for the government and stakeholders to step up and support them further,” shared Hari Shanker. He further added, “When we look at Kerala, it’s clear the state is proactively investing in industrial growth. The upcoming Vizhinjam Mother Port is a transformative project that will accelerate Kerala’s role in global trade and manufacturing logistics.”
The initiative is driven by Siji Nair, Managing Director and Chief Editor of Metro Media, a prominent advocate of MSME development in Kerala. With strong partnerships involving KSSIA, the Government of Kerala, and the Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce, Siji Nair continues to play a significant role in empowering regional businesses. Beyond the MSME sector, he also leads several efforts in India’s travel and tourism media landscape.
“Over the past five years, Kerala has shown commendable momentum in MSME growth,” said Siji Nair. “The India International Industrial Expo (IIIE), first organized through the efforts of KSSIA and Metro Media, broke participation records. The next edition, scheduled for January 2026, is expected to be even bigger, with pan-India support reaffirming Kerala’s rising reputation as a manufacturing-friendly state.”
