Messe Düsseldorf has made important changes to its management and structure, starting from August 1. These changes aim to improve their operations and bring more success to their trade shows. Marius Berlemann is now the Managing Director for Operations. He will take charge of two major trade shows: boot the world’s largest watersports show, and CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf, the leading mobile travel show. These shows were previously managed by President & CEO Wolfram N. Diener.
drupa, the top trade show for printing technologies, will now be managed by Wolfram N. Diener. He already oversees several other important trade shows, such as wire und Tube, VALVE WORLD EXPO, interpack, and XPONENTIAL. The first European event for XPONENTIAL, focusing on uncrewed systems and robotics, will be held in Düsseldorf in February 2025.
Diener explained that these changes will create better synergies and strengthen their trade shows globally. Berlemann, now responsible for many leading shows including K (plastics), MEDICA(medical devices), ProWein(wines), and EuroShop (retail), aims to boost the shows’ positions and attract more international visitors to Düsseldorf.
Bernhard J. Stempfle, Managing Director for Finance and Infrastructure, will continue to manage finance, digital strategy, and technology. He highlighted ongoing investments in digital services and the exhibition center to ensure success for their clients.
