In the Coronavirus pandemic, while millions have come to a standstill, Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) has opted for a virtual workforce to continue the services and support to customers.
DEP is developing products to support the Medical sector and fight Covid-19. The DEP team has collaborated with local manufacturing suppliers for the development of personal protection medical devices inclusive of the following.
The Aerosol Blocker prevents the circulation of breathing vapor and infectious water droplets. When infected patients cough, speak, or sputter, this blocker prevents the spread of airborne aerosol droplets. The blocker has a round shape without edges or corners. Quality interaction among medical staff and patients is feasible. A low lead time enables the mass production of blockers.
Designing these medical devices is DEP’s contribution to the medical fraternity who are in the frontline, battling to save lives. These are the first few devices in the series of more which we plan to release,” said Radha Krishnan, Founder and President, Detroit Engineered Products.
The current times are certainly tough for businesses but more for humanity. This is when we can show solidarity by coming forward and pooling our skills, in support of each other against the spread of Covid-19

The Protective Face Shield is a proactive device to compensate for the shortage of protective wear for medical staff. The eyes and face of the users are shielded from direct spray and splatter. The full-face shields have masks and reusable frames in multiple styles with diverse preferences. They have a clear plastic of apt thickness and a curved design for maximum visibility and coverage.
