MCNL (Meghmani Crop Nutrition Ltd), a wholly owned subsidiary of Meghmani Organics Ltd, has recently marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Nano Urea Plant located in Sanand, Ahmedabad.

Meghmani Crop Nutrition Ltd (MCNL) is a leading player in the agri-input industry, focusing on crop protection and plant nutrition solutions. With a commitment to sustainable agriculture, MCNL offers a wide range of products, including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and micronutrients, catering to the diverse needs of farmers across India and other countries.

The company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and strong R&D capabilities ensure the development of innovative and effective solutions for crop management. MCNL’s products are known for their quality, reliability, and effectiveness in enhancing crop yield and quality.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. This cutting-edge facility represents a major leap forward in agricultural technology, particularly in the realm of fertilizers.

The plant’s commercial production of Nano Urea (Liquid) Fertilizer, set to be announced separately, marks a crucial step towards sustainable farming practices. Back in December 2022, MCNL signed a licensing agreement with a prominent domestic fertilizer manufacturer, enabling them to produce Nano Urea (Liquid) Fertilizer using the latter domestically developed patented technology.

This innovative liquid fertilizer has been lauded for its ability to enhance crop productivity and nutritional quality, all while being environmentally friendly. Notably, the advent of Nano Urea is expected to alleviate the government’s subsidy burden on conventional urea, marking a positive shift towards more sustainable agricultural practices.

To bring this project to fruition, MCNL invested a substantial amount of Rs 150 crore in setting up the plant in Gujarat, which boasts an impressive annual capacity of 5 crore bottles (~500 ml). Looking ahead, the company has set ambitious goals, aiming to achieve an annual revenue of Rs 1,000 crore through this venture.
