Maxvolt Energy Industries, based in Ghaziabad, has announced plans to expand its lithium battery recycling operations with a new facility set to be located in either Delhi NCR or Western Uttar Pradesh. The company is in the process of acquiring 22,000 to 25,000 square meters of land for the project. The new recycling and repurposing plant will be situated near Maxvolt’s existing battery manufacturing unit in Ghaziabad, providing enhanced supply chain integration and improved operational efficiency.

Satendra Shukla, Chief Business Officer and CEO of Maxvolt Energy, explained, “This new facility will support large-scale recovery of valuable materials, reduce environmental impact, and strengthen the backbone of India’s electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage system (ESS) growth.”

Maxvolt is already leading a nationwide battery take-back and reuse initiative and is one of the few companies actively integrating battery repurposing into its core business model. This expansion is part of the company’s Phase 2 growth strategy, which also includes increasing production capacity and manufacturing ESS batteries for solar and grid-scale storage solutions.

Vishal Gupta, Chairman and CTO of Maxvolt Energy, added, “The future belongs to companies that innovate with responsibility. Maxvolt is not just delivering clean energy solutions, but is also ensuring these solutions don’t become waste in the future. Our upcoming plant will follow global best practices in battery recycling and help make India self-sufficient in critical energy materials.”

In FY 2024-25, Maxvolt achieved INR 107 crore in revenue with its integrated sustainability model, which includes production, reuse, and recycling. The company manufactures batteries equipped with active balancer systems, advanced thermal management, and smart battery control technologies.

Founded in 2019, Maxvolt Energy Industries Ltd has emerged as a key player in manufacturing lithium battery packs for Electric Vehicles (EVs), Energy Storage Systems, and medical applications, strengthening its position in the sustainable energy market.
