Iochpe-Maxion SA, a global leader in automotive wheel production and a prominent producer of automotive structural components in the Americas, has announced that Pieter Klinkers, currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maxion Wheels, will assume the role of President and CEO of Iochpe-Maxion SA. He will replace Marcos Oliveira, who will step down after completing his term as part of the company’s leadership succession plan. This change will take effect on April 16, 2025.
Klinkers brings over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. Having spent 10 years at Michelin, he joined Hayes Lemmerz Inc. in 2005, a company later acquired by Iochpe-Maxion. Since 2015, he has been leading the company’s global wheels division.
Mark Gerardts, currently Business Unit President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), will succeed Klinkers as CEO of Maxion Wheels. Gerardts, who joined the company in 2015, has held various roles with growing responsibilities.
Oliveira has been nominated by the Iochpe-Maxion Board of Directors to stand for election at the upcoming general shareholders’ meeting on April 16, 2025. The company is confident in the smooth and efficient transition, ensuring continuity in leadership and operations.
