Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the New Brezza Turbo Boosterjet, introducing a new turbocharged petrol powertrain to its popular compact SUV range. Designed for customers seeking a more engaging driving experience, the latest Brezza combines higher performance with refreshed styling, enhanced safety features and advanced in-car technology.

The New Brezza Turbo Boosterjet has been developed to appeal to younger buyers looking for a blend of performance, practicality and everyday usability. Powered by a turbocharged Boosterjet engine, the SUV produces 81 kW of power at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm, delivering responsive acceleration while offering a fuel efficiency of 20.47 km/l. The engine is paired with a newly developed 6-speed manual transmission, designed to provide smoother gear shifts and improved driving engagement.

The company has introduced the Turbo Boosterjet variant alongside the existing Brezza powered by the K15C Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology. This version is available with both a new 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic transmission equipped with steering-mounted paddle shifters. The K15C-powered model delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.09 km/l, while the S-CNG variant, featuring a redesigned underbody fuel tank and Idle Start-Stop technology, offers a fuel efficiency of 26.9 km/kg without compromising boot space.

Maruti Suzuki said the Brezza continues to enjoy strong customer acceptance, with more than 1.4 million units sold since its introduction. The expanded powertrain options are intended to cater to a wider range of customer preferences while strengthening the model’s position in the compact SUV segment.

Commenting on the launch, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the New Brezza has been developed to reflect the aspirations and lifestyle of young Indian customers. He said the introduction of the Turbo Boosterjet adds a new level of driving excitement while allowing the Brezza range to meet the needs of customers seeking either performance-oriented or everyday driving experiences.

The SUV also receives several exterior updates, including a redesigned smoke chrome front grille, metallic grey skid plate and bull bar styling, refreshed dual-tone body cladding and newly designed precision-cut alloy wheels. The Turbo Boosterjet variant features exclusive exterior badging that highlights its performance-focused character.

On the safety front, the New Brezza has been engineered with a target of achieving a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating. It introduces new driver assistance features such as Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Emergency Stop Signal and Exit Support Warning. An upgraded 360-degree camera with additional viewing modes and front and rear parking sensors further enhance convenience and safety during daily driving.

Inside the cabin, the SUV features a 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system with built-in internet connectivity, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa voice assistant integration and over-the-air software updates. Other premium features include Arkamys-powered surround sound, 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, a PM2.5 air purifier with AQI display, wireless smartphone charging with active cooling and a dual-tone leatherette interior.
