Maruti Suzuki India has enhanced the safety of its Super Carry mini truck by adding the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), making it the first vehicle in its category to offer this advanced feature. The company announced this update on March 4, 2025. The ESP system comes with seven critical safety functions to improve vehicle stability and reduce the risk of rollovers.

These include the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Engine Drag Control, Traction Control System, Rollover Prevention, Hydraulic Brake Assist, and the core ESP feature itself. Additional safety improvements in the updated Super Carry include front disc brakes, reverse parking sensors, and seat belt reminders.

“The addition of the Electronic Stability Program in the Super Carry reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and ensuring the safety of our customers,” said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India.

The Super Carry is powered by a 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It is offered in both gasoline and CNG versions, with prices ranging from ₹5,49,000 to ₹6,64,000 (ex-showroom).

Since its introduction, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 2.2 lakh units of the Super Carry, distributed through more than 370 commercial outlets across 270 cities in India. The mini truck is widely used in various commercial sectors, including e-commerce, courier services, FMCG distribution, and general goods transport.
