Marquardt India, a leading maker of entry and authorization systems and HMI solutions for automotive OEMs, is expanding into Power and Energy Solutions. With a team of 350+ engineers, they develop complex automotive mechatronics products.
Marquardt India is building a new production plant in Talegaon, Pune, set to start in early 2025. This facility will focus on in-house electronics assembly. The initial phase will cover 25,000 square meters, with plans to expand by another 35,000 square meters for molding capabilities. This investment shows Marquardt’s long-term commitment to sustainable mobility in India.
Marquardt is dedicated to creating advanced technologies in battery management and fuel cell control to support green mobility. They have developed several key products for vehicle electrification. The On-Board Charger (OBC) and DC/DC Converter are designed for motorcycles and scooters, delivering up to 7.2 kW while occupying less than 5 liters of space with a 94% efficiency rate and offering modular integration. The High Voltage Sensor ensures safety by continuously and quickly measuring current and voltage within the battery system, reacting immediately to faults, and meeting high safety standards. The Cell Voltage Monitoring (CVM) system provides real-time data on the performance and condition of individual fuel cells, enhancing efficiency and early detection of malfunctions. The Cell Module Controller (CMC) monitors each battery cell in real-time, optimizing performance, preventing failures, ensuring reliable operation, and extending battery life.
Marquardt offers comprehensive solutions for high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) battery management. The HV system measures voltage, current, balance, and temperature, meeting the highest safety standards. The LV system monitors and controls low voltage battery packs, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Marquardt India’s expansion into battery management and energy solutions underscores its commitment to supporting green mobility. Their innovative products aim to drive the transformation towards more sustainable automotive technologies.
