Marine Electricals Partners with Cummins India for Naval Ship Pump Manufacturing

Marine Electricals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cummins India to jointly manufacture pumps specifically for Indian Navy ships. The partnership will cover the supply, commissioning, and after-sales service of these pumps, with a focus on both the Navy and private ship owners.

The agreement will also explore potential collaborations in the energy sector, particularly in offering power generation solutions. Marine Electricals’ subsidiary, Narhari Engineering Works, is currently expanding its production capacity for naval and marine motors up to 1MW.

Additionally, Narhari Engineering plans to begin manufacturing alternators for naval and marine use at its new facility in Palghar. Narhari Engineering has been a key player in the industry since 1964, specializing in custom-made shock-graded motors that meet Naval Engineering standards.

The company produces motors suitable for various applications on naval vessels, with capacities reaching up to 300 kW. In line with its growth strategy, Marine Electricals recently established offices in Europe and the UAE to boost its export business.
