Italy-based Maire announced that its engineering arms, Tecnimont and Nextchem, have been chosen to design a green ammonia plant in India. The project was awarded by Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India. Tecnimont will handle the contract through its Indian branch, Tecnimont Pvt Ltd (TCMPL).
The study will use Nextchem’s ArcHy tool to manage renewable power usage, aiming to cut costs. ArcHy will analyze renewable energy data over a year to size the plant’s components like electrolyzers and storage systems, ensuring cost efficiency.
