Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has announced the launch of its latest commercial electric vehicle, named ‘eZEO’. The name, short for “Zero Emission Option,” highlights the vehicle’s environmental benefits, according to the company. The ‘eZEO’ is set to be officially introduced on October 3, 2024.

The ‘eZEO’ is positioned to be a strong contender in the small commercial vehicle (SCV) sector, which has traditionally been dominated by internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. The new electric model features a high-voltage architecture that promises enhanced energy efficiency, extended range, and faster charging capabilities. Mahindra believes these attributes, coupled with competitive pricing, will make the ‘eZEO’ an attractive option for businesses.

World EV Day, celebrated annually on September 9, underscores global efforts towards sustainable transportation.

Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, commented on the launch, “Revealing the ‘eZEO’ on World EV Day reflects our commitment to supporting the transition to greener transportation solutions. As pioneers in the electric three-wheeler market, we are excited to introduce this four-wheeler, which aligns with our goal to accelerate EV adoption in the sub-two-tonne category. With the backing of the Mahindra brand, the ‘eZEO’ is set to transform urban logistics and support our customers’ growth.” The introduction of the ‘eZEO’ marks a significant step in Mahindra’s efforts to lead the shift towards electric vehicles in the commercial sector.
