Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL), the flagship supply-chain and logistics arm of the Mahindra Group, announced the appointment of Hemant Sikka as its new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, and a Member of the Group Executive Board at Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M). Effective immediately, Mr Sikka succeeds Raghuram Varadarajan and will spearhead Mahindra Logistics’ next phase of growth and innovation.

Founded in 2009, Mahindra Logistics has built one of India’s most extensive integrated third-party logistics networks, spanning over 400 branches, over five million square feet of warehousing, including automated and temperature-controlled facilities, and last-mile delivery coverage across 3,000+ pin codes. Its end-to-end offerings extend from multi-modal freight movement and FTL/LTL services to reverse logistics, spare-parts management, and bespoke omni-channel fulfilment solutions for manufacturing, retail, and automotive customers.

Hemant Sikka joins Mahindra Logistics after a distinguished tenure as President of Mahindra Group’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), where he led the business to its highest-ever full-year market share in FY 2025 and launched Krish-e, an integrated agri-advisory, farm-machine rental, and precision-farming platform designed to “Transform Farming and Enrich Lives.” A seasoned Mahindra executive, he has also served as President & Chief Purchase Officer for the Automotive & Farm sectors, Head of Purchase at SsangYong Motors in South Korea, and Head of Manufacturing for Mahindra’s automotive division.

Beyond the Group, Hemant Sikka was Co-Chair and, most recently, Chairman of FICCI’s National Agriculture Committee and President of the Tractor & Mechanisation Association of India—roles in which he championed policy reforms and mechanisation initiatives across the agricultural value chain. His earlier nine-year stint at Maruti Suzuki laid a strong foundation in procurement and operational excellence.

Looking ahead, Hemant Sikka will drive Mahindra Logistics’ next phase of innovation, focusing on AI-enabled route optimisation, warehouse robotics, and sustainable “green-logistics” solutions, such as fleet electrification and carbon offset programs. Under his leadership, MLL aims to deepen partnerships with e-commerce, FMCG, and industrial clients, expand urban and semi-urban coverage, and leverage advanced analytics to deliver real-time visibility and efficiency gains.
