Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division, part of the Mahindra Group, has officially launched the FURIO 8, a new addition to its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) lineup. Developed at the company’s advanced manufacturing facility in Chakan, Maharashtra, the FURIO 8 is offered in two configurations — 4-tyre and 6-tyre cargo variants, tailored to meet the varied demands of the LCV transport sector.
Designed to maximize earnings, the FURIO 8 sets a new standard in its class with best-in-segment fuel efficiency, higher payload capacity, and a modern cabin engineered for driver comfort, safety, and ease of use. Mahindra is backing this vehicle with a bold promise — “Get the Highest Mileage or Give the Truck Back” — a first-of-its-kind guarantee aimed at delivering superior returns to owners and fleet operators. As Mahindra positions it, this vehicle is not just a truck — it’s a tool for transforming business outcomes: “Truck Badlo, Taqdeer Badlegi.”
Commenting on the launch, Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses, CE, Aerospace & Defence at Mahindra Group, said: “With FURIO 8, we are offering more than just a vehicle — we’re offering a profit-generating platform. Our guarantee reflects our belief in the product’s capability and our commitment to our customers’ success.”
Dr Venkat Srinivas, Business Head, MTB & CE, added: “The FURIO 8 is built to deliver lower total cost of ownership, higher earnings, and minimal maintenance, while ensuring best-in-class safety and comfort. This is a vehicle designed for peace of mind and long-term profitability.”
The Mahindra FURIO 8 is backed by two strong service guarantees that aim to minimize downtime and provide peace of mind to truck owners. The first is a 36-hour service turnaround commitment at workshops—if not met, customers receive a compensation of ₹3,000 for every additional day of delay. The second is a 48-hour on-road assurance, promising that the truck will be operational within this time frame, failing which the company offers ₹1,000 per extra day. These guarantees underscore Mahindra’s confidence in its product reliability and after-sales service ecosystem.
Adding to its value proposition, the FURIO 8 is equipped with Mahindra iMAXX, a state-of-the-art telematics platform. This advanced system provides features such as real-time location tracking, geofencing, vehicle health monitoring, driver behavior analytics, and fleet performance dashboards. These tools help fleet operators make informed decisions, improve route efficiency, and proactively manage maintenance, ultimately enhancing operational effectiveness.
Mahindra Truck and Bus (MTB) is a key business within the Automotive and Farm Equipment Sector of the Mahindra Group. It offers a comprehensive range of transportation solutions for both goods and passenger movement. The product lineup spans across Light, Intermediate, and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, all designed with a focus on lowering total cost of ownership and increasing long-term profitability for customers.
Manufacturing operations are spread across two key locations. The Chakan facility in Pune, built on over 700 acres with a capital investment of ₹4,000 crore, serves as the production hub for Mahindra’s Heavy and Intermediate Commercial Vehicles. Meanwhile, the Zaheerabad plant in Telangana focuses on manufacturing Light Commercial Vehicles and buses, catering to a wide customer base across the country.
To support its growing fleet, Mahindra has built a strong and widespread after-sales network. This includes 87 full-service dealerships, over 180 authorized service centers, 80+ Mahindra Care outlets, 2000+ spare parts retailers, and more than 200 mobile service vans providing roadside assistance. Additionally, the company operates 22 M-Parts Plazas and offers a 24×7 multilingual helpline (NOW), manned by trained technical experts to ensure quick and reliable customer support.
Mahindra’s iMAXX telematics is a standard offering across its truck range, reinforcing the brand’s push toward digitally enabled, intelligent transportation. This connected ecosystem allows businesses to run more efficiently, reduce operational risks, and make the most of every journey—further reflecting Mahindra’s ongoing commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and fleet optimization.
