Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its next-generation range of lightweight tractors under the OJA series in Australia, marking a new phase in its two-decade presence in the country. The launch includes three models in the sub-compact and compact categories: OJA 1123 HST, OJA 1126 HST, and OJA 2126 HST.
These new models are designed to address the specific operational requirements of small farms and rural properties across Australia. The tractors feature hydrostatic transmission systems, enhanced comfort, and durability for extended field use. Developed with input from Mahindra’s engineering center in India and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery in Japan, the OJA range is based on a new lightweight 4WD platform.
The tractors are equipped with updated hydraulic systems, digital instrument panels, and optional climate-controlled cabs. Features such as button-operated PTO, class-leading loader lift capacities, and ergonomic driver controls are included as standard. The OJA range is aimed at users seeking a compact yet high-performance machine for a variety of agricultural and property maintenance tasks.
The OJA 1100 series includes the 1123 HST and 1126 HST models. Both are powered by 3-cylinder diesel engines rated at 23 hp and 26 hp respectively. Key specifications include a loader lift capacity of 420 kg, rear hitch capacity of 350 kg, and compatibility with mid-mount mowers. Steering is tilt-and-telescopic, with cruise control and easy-access control layouts. Turf and industrial tire options are available.
The OJA 2126 HST from the 2100 compact series provides higher lift capacities (580 kg loader, 800 kg rear hitch) and includes a wider operator platform. The model is powered by a 26 hp engine and features a 3-range hydrostatic transmission. A fully integrated cab with heating and air conditioning is available as an option. The tractor is intended for heavier-duty applications and year-round usability in varying climate conditions.
Mahindra has confirmed that these models will be available at dealerships across Australia beginning 18 September 2025, with bookings open immediately. All tractors in the OJA range come with a 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and an additional 3 years of coverage on the powertrain, supported by Mahindra’s existing service network in the country.
