Mahindra Group revealed new senior leadership appointments on Monday, with Hemant Sikka, currently serving as President of the Farm Equipment Sector, being appointed as the Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Logistics (MLL). Veejay Nakra, the current President of the Automotive Division, will take on the role of President of the Farm Equipment Business (FEB), while R Velusamy, President of Automotive Technology and Product Development, will step into the role of President of the Automotive Business (AB), according to a statement shared by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Sikka will step down from his position as President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd at the close of May 4, 2025, with his new appointment at Mahindra Logistics confirmed. Current CEO of Mahindra Logistics, Ram Swaminathan, will be stepping down to pursue other opportunities.
Nakra, appointed as President of the Farm Equipment Business, joined Mahindra & Mahindra in 1995. He has a strong record of transforming the automotive business, spearheading successful launches and building robust manufacturing capabilities, while shaping the growth strategy for the company’s international ventures.
Velusamy, who joined Mahindra & Mahindra in 1996, will assume the role of President of the Automotive Business. He has been a key player in creating world-class powertrains and driving the development and successful launch of numerous flagship internal combustion engine products, as well as Mahindra’s Electric Vehicle lineup.
Both Nakra and Velusamy will continue to report to Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO of the Auto and Farm Sector.
