Mahindra Aerostructures to Supply Components for Airbus Aircraft

Mahindra Aerostructures (MASPL) and Airbus Aerostructures GmbH have recently collaborated in aerospace manufacturing through the signing of a new agreement. This strategic partnership entails the production and provision of metallic components catering to the entirety of Airbus’s commercial aircraft fleet, encompassing the highly praised A320 family.

Mahindra Aerospace has recently collaborated with Airbus to deliver cutting-edge solutions in the aerospace industry. This strategic partnership combines Mahindra’s expertise in manufacturing and technological innovation with Airbus’s aircraft design and engineering prowess. Specializing in aerostructures, components, and aircraft services, Mahindra Aerospace plays a pivotal role in the production and assembly of various Airbus aircraft.

The collaboration emphasizes a vision to excellence, pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology. With a shared vision for sustainability and advancement, Mahindra Aerospace and Airbus continue to soar to new heights, contributing significantly to the evolution of the aviation sector.

According to the stipulations outlined in the contractual agreement, MASPL is set to ship an extensive array of approximately 5,000 metallic components to Airbus in Germany. These components will be procured from MASPL’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in India. Notably, this contractual arrangement serves as an augmentation to MASPL’s ongoing initiatives, wherein the company is actively engaged in supplying various parts directly to Airbus at their facilities situated in Toulouse, France.

Vinod Sahay, the President of Aerospace & Defence and Chief Procurement Officer of Auto & Farm Sectors at Mahindra, expressed immense enthusiasm regarding the collaborative venture, emphasizing the Mahindra Group’s deep sense of pride in its longstanding partnership with Airbus.

The recently inked contract, according to Mr Sahay, not only signifies an extension of this robust relationship but also marks a significant augmentation of their involvement in the esteemed ‘Make In India’ initiative championed by the Government of India. As Mahindra embarks on this new phase, the company eagerly anticipates the fulfillment of their commitments, embracing the exciting prospect of sustained collaborative growth and further contributing to the nation’s industrial landscape.

Expressing appreciation for the ongoing support from Airbus, Arvind Mehra, the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Aerostructures, conveyed gratitude for the sustained backing. Mehra emphasized the privilege that Mahindra Aerostructures holds as a key supplier to Airbus and expressed deep gratitude for the consistent support provided towards their growth initiatives. He highlighted the significance of the recently conferred award, viewing it as a substantial augmentation to their existing Airbus portfolio.

Furthermore, Mr Mehra underscored the potential for expanded collaboration with Airbus, particularly in the realms of performance, sustainability, and operational excellence. This accolade, according to Mehra, not only enhances their partnership with Airbus but also opens up new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.
