Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, has signed a long-term manufacturing agreement with Spain-based Aernnova Aerospace. The contract, valued at approximately $300 million (over ₹2,585 crore), involves producing metal sub-assemblies and components for various Airbus and Embraer aircraft.
The agreement covers deliveries to Aernnova’s facilities in Spain, the UK, Portugal, and Brazil. This marks a significant expansion of the companies’ partnership, which dates back to 2013. According to Aernnova CEO Ricardo Chocarro, the collaboration with Mahindra Aerostructures will help ensure a stable and scalable supply chain to meet increased production demands across programs.
Under the terms of the deal, Mahindra Aerostructures will supply parts for a variety of Airbus aircraft as well as Embraer’s platforms, including the C390 Millennium military transport aircraft. Mahindra Group CEO and Managing Director Anish Shah emphasized that this development aligns with the group’s strategy to grow its aerospace footprint and deepen international partnerships.
Arvind Mehra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Aerostructures, noted that the contract builds on the company’s existing relationship with Aernnova’s UK division. He added that the partnership also creates fresh opportunities to expand advanced manufacturing capabilities in India.
Aernnova previously played a key role in the early development of Mahindra’s aerospace facility, contributing to both infrastructure design and workforce training. The relationship advanced further after Aernnova’s 2020 acquisition of Hamble Aerostructures in the UK, a former customer of Mahindra Aerostructures.
Established in 1945, the Mahindra Group operates across more than 100 countries and employs around 260,000 people. It holds a strong position in multiple sectors, including agriculture, mobility, information technology, finance, renewable energy, logistics, and real estate. The group is also focused on sustainability and community development initiatives.
