More than 1,000 students from architecture and civil engineering backgrounds across 200 colleges in Maharashtra participated in the ‘Kreate’ competition, showcasing cutting-edge models centered around the theme of “Life in Steel.”
The multi-stage event invited students to present solutions that aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The competition brought together some of the brightest minds in architecture and engineering, encouraging participants to explore how steel can play a pivotal role in meeting sustainability challenges. Forty-eight teams, selected from 200 entries, displayed their projects in a live exhibition, blending academic insight with industry needs.
Organized by Kalika Steel, a producer of environmentally-friendly TMT steel bars, the competition featured a panel of experts in sustainable design who judged the entries. The top three teams were recognized for their innovative concepts.
