Magenta Mobility announced on Monday that it will supply and manage a fleet of over 250 electric vehicles (EVs) for MOVER, a logistics technology platform. This partnership aims to enhance last-mile delivery services in major metropolitan areas such as Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, according to a statement from Magenta.
The integration of EVs into MOVER’s delivery fleet is expected to improve delivery efficiency by expanding delivery windows, boosting fulfillment rates, and reducing operational costs. It will also contribute to sustainability goals by lowering emissions.
With EVs requiring less maintenance and producing zero tailpipe emissions, the partnership is designed to make logistics more environmentally and economically sustainable. Magenta noted that the EV fleet will also help MOVER maintain smooth service in high-density areas where traditional delivery methods face challenges.
Maxson Lewis, Managing Director and CEO of Magenta Mobility, said, “This collaboration with MOVER demonstrates that sustainability and scalability can go hand in hand. As India’s delivery requirements grow, we’re committed to helping businesses grow responsibly and efficiently.”
Magenta plans to expand the partnership to all major cities in India and even Tier 2 cities within the next 24 months. MOVER, with its tech-driven, asset-light model, gains a significant advantage from this partnership, especially in cities like Delhi NCR where internal combustion engine (ICE) and CNG-powered commercial vehicles face growing regulatory restrictions. Praveen Yadav, Founder and CEO of MOVER, commented, “This collaboration strengthens our green delivery network while increasing both performance and reach.”
