Maersk Appoints Scott Elliott as Asia Pacific Regional President

AP Moller – Maersk has announced the appointment of Scott Elliott as Regional President for Asia Pacific, formalizing his leadership of one of the company’s most strategically important regions. Elliott had been serving in the role on an interim basis since January 2026 while continuing to guide the region through a period of business growth and evolving global trade dynamics.

The appointment reinforces Maersk’s commitment to strengthening its leadership across Asia Pacific, a region that remains central to international commerce and the company’s long-term strategy of delivering integrated logistics solutions to customers worldwide. Mr Elliott joined Maersk in 2020 as Regional Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific. During his tenure, he has played a key role in driving financial performance, supporting commercial expansion and strengthening operational capabilities across the region. His leadership during the interim assignment has helped maintain business continuity while advancing customer-focused initiatives and regional growth priorities.

Before joining Maersk, Elliott built an extensive international career in the logistics and supply chain industry. He served as President and Division Chief Financial Officer for Global Forwarding at Toll Global in Singapore. Earlier in his career, he held several senior finance and executive management positions at CEVA Logistics, working across the United States, China, the Netherlands and Australia. His experience spans operational management, commercial development and financial leadership across some of the world’s most significant trade corridors.

Asia Pacific remains the world’s largest regional economic market and serves as a critical hub for global manufacturing, exports and international supply chains. The region plays an increasingly important role in Maersk’s ambition to provide integrated end-to-end logistics services while helping customers build more resilient, efficient and sustainable supply chains.

Commenting on his appointment, Scott Elliott said it is a privilege to lead the Asia Pacific business and work alongside the company’s employees, customers and business partners across the region. He noted that Maersk has established strong momentum in Asia Pacific and expressed his commitment to further strengthening customer relationships while supporting their long-term growth ambitions.

Maersk also confirmed that the process of appointing a permanent Regional Head of Finance for Asia Pacific has commenced following Elliott’s transition into his new leadership position. As global supply chains continue to evolve amid changing trade patterns, digital transformation and sustainability priorities, Maersk is focused on expanding its integrated logistics network and enhancing service capabilities across key international markets. The appointment of experienced regional leadership is expected to support these objectives while enabling closer collaboration with customers operating throughout Asia Pacific.
