Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav engaged in key discussions with corp@tridentindia.com Rajinder Gupta, Chairman of Trident Group, on investment opportunities and industrial growth within the state’s textile sector. The talks took place during the “Invest Madhya Pradesh” Regional Industry Conclave in Narmadapuram, highlighting the state’s increasing appeal as a prime destination for industrial development.
At the event, Shri Rajinder Gupta expressed his appreciation for the state government, noting Trident Group’s successful journey in Madhya Pradesh. “We began our operations in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 5,000 crores. Today, our finished products are exported to 122 countries, with demand continuously rising,” he said.
Looking to the future, Shri. Gupta announced plans for an additional Rs. 3,000 crore investment in the state’s textile sector, aiming to increase employment at Trident Group from 12,000 to over 15,000 people. “We are committed to ensuring that the benefits of our operations remain in Madhya Pradesh, from cotton sourcing to producing finished goods. The state offers a unique combination of sustainability, inclusive growth, and green energy potential, especially in solar and wind energy,” Gupta explained. He also emphasized the company’s focus on skill development and women empowerment, with half of the new job opportunities set aside for women.
Acknowledging the Chief Minister’s forward-thinking leadership, Shri. Gupta praised the collaboration between intellectuals and industrialists for driving innovation and regional development. This initiative strengthens Madhya Pradesh’s position as a center for sustainable industrial growth and inclusive development, attracting further investment.
