L&T Technology Services Limited (BSE: 540115, NSE: LTTS), a global leader in AI, digital, and engineering research & development (ER&D) services, has announced a strategic shift toward Engineering Intelligence (EI) as part of its five-year growth roadmap. In line with this transformation, the company has divested its Smart World and Communication (SWC) business to AMI Paradigm Solutions Private Limited.
AMI Paradigm, a newly formed entity created through a partnership between ParadigmIT Technology Services Private Limited and AM Intelligence Labs Private Limited, will focus on advancing artificial intelligence solutions for public systems and critical infrastructure. The binding agreement enables AMI Paradigm to integrate SWC’s capabilities across India and global markets, strengthening its long-term growth strategy in AI-driven infrastructure.
The divestment allows LTTS to reallocate capital toward high-growth areas, particularly Engineering Intelligence. Under its five-year “Lakshya” plan, the company is prioritizing six major technology bets, with EI at the core. This strategic focus is expected to accelerate growth across its key segments—Mobility, Sustainability, and Tech—while reinforcing its positioning as a global engineering intelligence partner.
Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS, stated that the company is realigning its strategy to focus on EI, software, and digital manufacturing. He emphasized that these pillars are expected to unlock faster growth opportunities and deliver long-term value for stakeholders. He also noted that AMI Paradigm’s integration of SWC capabilities would create a strong platform for innovation and enhance value delivery for existing clients and employees.
Anil Chalamalasetty, Chairman of AM Group, highlighted that advancements in clean energy and computing infrastructure are enabling powerful AI capabilities, but the real opportunity lies in translating these into domain-specific applications. He noted that the SWC business plays a critical role in operationalizing AI for mission-critical systems across sectors such as governance, utilities, and transportation.
Sridhar Gadhi of ParadigmIT added that the combined capabilities will help build an AI-led platform focused on sovereign AI architectures, domain-specific models, and outcome-driven systems for enterprises and governments.
LTTS continues to expand its presence in digital health and MedTech innovation, leveraging its global engineering capabilities to address evolving healthcare challenges. As a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, the company provides design, development, testing, and lifecycle management services across multiple industries, including medical devices and healthcare systems. With a workforce of over 23,000 professionals and a strong global footprint, LTTS serves a diverse customer base that includes leading multinational corporations.
