L&T’s Construction Arm secures ‘significant’ orders for Buildings & Factories Business

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), announced today that its construction arm has secured ‘significant’ orders for its Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical in India. According to L&T’s classification, the value of these significant contracts ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.

Major Orders Secured

One of the key orders has been awarded by the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad. This project involves the construction of a super-speciality hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The scope of the order includes comprehensive civil structures, finishes, facade work, interiors, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, as well as paramedical and external development jobs, including landscaping. The total built-up area for this project is an impressive 1.1 million square feet.

In addition to the hospital project, L&T’s B&F business has also secured an order for the construction of office space in Mumbai. This project entails the creation of a civil and composite steel structure for a building comprising 2 basements, a ground floor, 6 podiums, and 18 office floors, totaling approximately 13 lakh square feet of built-up area. The project is scheduled for completion within 20 months.
