Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Monday that its renewable energy arm has secured two significant orders from a leading developer in the Middle East to build two large-scale solar PV plants. These projects will have a combined capacity of 3.5 GW.
The orders, classified as “mega” by L&T, are valued between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 crore. The scope of the work includes grid interconnections, pooling substations, and overhead transmission lines. Detailed engineering and initial construction are set to begin soon.
With the recent deal in the Middle East, L&T’s renewables unit will soon achieve a total capacity of 22 GWp, including both solar and wind projects that are already operational and those under development.
