L&T Technology Services Limited has unveiled PLxAI, its proprietary AI-driven framework designed to accelerate the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) for global clients across mobility, sustainability, and technology domains. Developed by subject matter experts in product development, PLxAI combines Generative AI with conventional AI to create scalable, reusable solutions across every stage of the PDLC—from concept design to aftermarket support.
The framework leverages organizational knowledge and contextual intelligence to provide insights that enhance design, validation, and overall product engineering. PLxAI introduces a range of advanced capabilities, including smart prompting, context-aware decision support, and the ability to reuse knowledge efficiently across engineering workflows.
These features are designed to enhance productivity and accuracy throughout the product development lifecycle. LTTS has already deployed PLxAI in over 36 use cases across various stages of the PDLC, with an additional 35 use cases currently in progress, showcasing its broad applicability and growing adoption.
Key applications of PLxAI span from concept to validation, such as using AI-driven tools for benchmarking and technology scouting during concept design, and automating the creation of specifications, diagrams, and calculations during component design. In later stages, PLxAI supports the generation of design validation plans, DFMEA templates, and customizable failure mode analyses. It also facilitates advanced engineering through digital twin integration for physical-virtual testing and the deployment of autonomous agents capable of executing complex, multi-step engineering workflows.
Alind Saxena, President & Executive Director – Mobility & Tech at LTTS, said “This launch is a proud milestone for our team. PLxAI, built by our in-house AI specialists, reflects LTTS’ strength in engineering innovation. It is already seeing encouraging adoption across multiple industries, underlining our commitment to advancing client success in mobility, sustainability, and technology.”
