L&T Secures Major Orders in India and Abroad for Power Transmission & Distribution Projects

L&T Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division has won significant new orders in India and the Middle East. In India, the company will implement an Advanced Distribution Management System in West Bengal, integrating Outage Management and Distribution Management System functionalities. This will enable real-time monitoring and control of medium and low voltage networks, enhancing network reliability by allowing quicker fault isolation and faster restoration.

Internationally, L&T has secured a contract in Saudi Arabia to build a crucial 380kV substation to support solar energy evacuation. Additionally, in Kuwait, the company has won an order for a 400kV substation as part of a large-scale city project. In Dubai, L&T will establish a series of Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations, including a 400/132kV substation, to help bolster the emirate’s power transmission infrastructure and support its growth as a top global destination.
