Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading engineering and construction conglomerate, announced on Wednesday that it has secured a significant infrastructure development contract in Maharashtra. The contract, awarded to L&T’s Transportation Infrastructure division, falls into the ‘large’ category, which includes orders valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.
The project involves integrated infrastructure development within Town Planning Schemes 2 to 7 under the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) Project. The City and Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDCO) has granted it the contract, which includes road construction, development of major and minor structures, and associated electrical and utility works.
