Lockheed Martin will debut its immersive Vast™ experience system in India at the 15th edition of Aero India, held in Bengaluru from February 10–14, 2025. The company is emphasizing its vision for 21st Century Security® and the integrated solutions it offers to support the Indian Armed Forces.

The Vast™ system will be a key highlight at Lockheed Martin’s booth, allowing attendees to engage with interactive 3D visualizations that bring multi-domain missions to life. The exhibit will also feature several of the company’s cutting-edge technologies, including the C-130J Super Hercules tactical airlifter, F-21 fighter jet, MH-60R “Romeo” multi-mission helicopter, Javelin® weapon system, and the S-92 multi-role helicopter.

“Aero India has long been a vital platform for Lockheed Martin and the aerospace sector, and we are excited to present the Vast™ Experience System this year,” said William L. Blair, Vice President and Regional Chief Executive for Asia and India at Lockheed Martin. “Our participation reflects our strong ties with the Indian defense industry and our commitment to addressing the nation’s strategic challenges through advanced solutions that promote self-reliance.”

A prominent feature at the show will be the C-130J Super Hercules model, a testament to Lockheed Martin’s lasting partnership with India’s defense sector. The Indian Air Force currently operates 12 C-130J aircraft, supporting diverse tactical missions. Additionally, through a joint venture with Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited, India plays a crucial role in the production of C-130J empennage assemblies for Super Hercules aircraft.

In 2024, Lockheed Martin expanded its collaboration with India, signing a teaming agreement with Tata Advanced Systems Limited to further develop the C-130J’s presence in India. This agreement aims to establish an MRO facility in India, expand aircraft manufacturing for the Indian Air Force’s MTA program, and explore future business opportunities.

Another key exhibit is the F-21 fighter aircraft model, tailored for India’s Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft competition. Featuring advanced sensors and avionics, the F-21 is designed to meet India’s fighter aircraft needs while supporting the “Make in India” and “Skill India” initiatives.

The MH-60R “Romeo” SEAHAWK® helicopter, now in use by the Indian Navy, will also be displayed. These versatile helicopters, capable of anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, will see a total of 24 delivered to India in the coming year.

Lockheed Martin’s Javelin® anti-tank weapon system, renowned for its portability and versatility, will also be part of the exhibit. With its fire-and-forget technology, Javelin enables rapid engagement and high survivability for its operators.

The S-92® multi-role helicopter is another key display, with India’s Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Limited manufacturing aerostructure components for this aircraft through a joint venture with Lockheed Martin.
