Liebherr has concluded an extensive international roadshow showcasing its mobile construction crane (MK) range, taking the concept directly to customers across multiple regions. Organized by Liebherr’s Ehingen plant, the MK roadshow traveled through Eastern Europe and South America over the past months, with the objective of demonstrating the practical benefits of mobile construction cranes in real working environments.
Between October and mid-November, the roadshow visited Poland, Czechia, Hungary, and Romania, where demonstrations were held at Liebherr branches, active construction sites, and customer locations. Earlier in the year, the tour also included stops in Chile and Peru, with presentations at major industry exhibitions such as Expomin and Perumin, as well as exclusive customer events. These sessions allowed visitors to observe the cranes in operation and engage directly with Liebherr specialists.
The demonstrations focused on the MK crane concept, which combines the advantages of tower cranes and mobile cranes in a single solution. Based on the taxi crane principle, MK cranes can be deployed quickly and are capable of moving between multiple sites in a single day. Assembly and operation can be handled by one person, while the vertical tower design and small footprint make the cranes well suited for confined urban areas, handling tasks, and photovoltaic installations.
Comfort and safety were also key highlights, supported by a modern operator cab and advanced assistance systems. The cranes operate fully electrically, offering low-noise and emission-free performance. Power can be supplied via the construction site grid, an onboard generator, or independent energy storage solutions such as the Liduro Power Port, enabling flexible and self-sufficient operation.
A distinctive feature of the roadshow was the hands-on approach taken by Liebherr’s sales teams, who assembled and operated the cranes themselves, underlining the simplicity and practicality of the concept. Customer response was strongly positive, resulting in multiple enquiries and at least one confirmed sale with delivery already completed. Additional roadshow events are planned for the coming year, including further stops in Northern Europe.
