LICO Materials has launched a new energy storage solution that repurposes end-of-life batteries to address both energy storage and battery waste issues. The LiGRID system, presents an innovative way to manage energy needs while promoting sustainability in India’s renewable energy sector.

This launch comes at a pivotal time as India strives to meet its ambitious goal of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. Alongside this target, the growing adoption of electric vehicles has significantly increased the demand for effective energy storage solutions.

The LiGRID system is available in three variants to meet various market demands. The entry-level LiGRID 10 offers 18 kWh of storage, designed for residential use. The LiGRID 30, with 100 kWh capacity, is aimed at office buildings and EV charging stations, while the industrial-grade LiGRID 250, offering 300 kWh, is suited for larger commercial installations.

The systems are built to operate in temperatures between -20°C and 60°C and include oil cooling and heating features for optimal performance. LICO Materials also offers a 5-year warranty, demonstrating confidence in the durability of their repurposed battery solutions.
