Lennox (NYSE: LII), a global leader in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) solutions, has announced a $6 million investment to expand its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Chennai. The expansion increases the facility’s footprint to 150,000 sq. ft., allowing the workforce to grow from 900 to 1,500 employees.
The upgraded GCC is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, supporting Lennox’s global functions in HVACR solutions. The new space includes modern collaborative workstations, advanced Controls & IT labs, a gym, a play area, privacy pods, recharge rooms, a mother care room, and training spaces, all designed to foster innovation, teamwork, and employee well-being.
Since its establishment in 2010, the Chennai GCC has grown into a key strategic centre for Lennox, attracting top talent in IT and engineering. Over the years, its role has expanded beyond technology to encompass finance, marketing communications, HR, legal, customer experience, and sourcing, reinforcing its position as a crucial part of Lennox’s global operations.
