Laurus Labs and 3GV have unveiled a groundbreaking facility in Genome Valley, which was inaugurated on Monday by Telangana’s Minister for IT and Industries, Duddila Sridhar Babu. This advanced life sciences center has achieved EDGE Advanced certification, distinguishing it as the world’s first facility to attain this esteemed global benchmark for sustainable infrastructure.
With an impressive infrastructure investment of ₹105 crore, the facility is anticipated to generate over 1,000 new job opportunities. During the event, Minister Babu also initiated the groundbreaking ceremony for Biopolis, an expansive research campus spanning 8.5 acres. This ambitious project will provide a staggering 1,000,000 square feet of advanced laboratory space aimed at fostering collaboration between various research entities, major pharmaceutical corporations, and emerging startups.
The Biopolis project is backed by a considerable infrastructure investment of ₹700 crore and is anticipated to generate approximately 6,500 new jobs.
