LANXESS Secures Top Rankings in Global Sustainability Ratings

LANXESS, a leading specialty chemicals company, has achieved outstanding positions in several renowned sustainability assessments. The company ranked first in the “Chemicals” category of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Europe, earning 79 out of 100 points. In the DJSI World, LANXESS secured 4th place, excelling in climate strategy, water management, corporate ethics, human rights, and product stewardship.

In November, MSCI ESG reaffirmed LANXESS’ AA rating for the fourth consecutive year, placing it among the highest-rated companies in the “Commodity & Diversified Chemicals” sector. MSCI ESG evaluates companies on their management of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks.

Additionally, ISS ESG upgraded LANXESS’ rating from B- to B on a scale of A+ to D-, maintaining its prime status. This positions LANXESS as one of the top-rated firms in the chemical industry, based on nearly 100 industry-specific indicators.

LANXESS also received a gold-level rating from EcoVadis, ranking in the top 5% of over 100,000 evaluated companies globally. EcoVadis ratings are widely used to assess the sustainability performance of business partners.
