With five months remaining until the opening, LAMIERA reaffirms its status as a key international exhibition for the sheet metal forming, cutting, and processing sectors. Organized by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian machine tools, robots, and automation systems manufacturers’ association, and managed by CEU-CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU, LAMIERA will take place at Fiera Milano Rho from May 6 to 9, 2025.

To date, over 200 companies have registered to exhibit, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period before the 2023 edition. Alongside numerous confirmations, the exhibition has also attracted “important returns” that will enhance its appeal to both domestic and international visitors. Of the applications received so far, 24% are from international companies, reflecting Italy’s continued interest as a key market with significant growth potential.

LAMIERA is the only international event in Italy dedicated exclusively to this sector. The exhibition will feature a wide range of products, including machines, plants, and equipment for processing sheet metal, tubes, profiles, wires, and structural metals, as well as presses, molds, dies, welding, surface treatments, and parts. Several technological themes will also be highlighted:

FABBRICA FUTURA will spotlight advancements in software, connectivity technologies, automation, and digital and robotic systems specifically tailored for sheet metal processing. These innovations aim to enhance efficiency and precision in manufacturing. Complementing this, SALDATECH will delve into the diverse world of welding, emphasizing its critical role as a key technology for joining sheet metal in various industrial applications. The FASTENER INDUSTRY segment will focus on clamping and fastening systems, showcasing solutions designed to ensure reliability and structural integrity in assembly processes.

The WORLD OF HEAT AND SURFACE TREATMENTS will explore cutting-edge pre- and post-production treatments for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. These treatments enhance durability, performance, and finish, catering to the demands of high-quality manufacturing. Meanwhile, METROLOGY & TESTING will emphasize the importance of quality control by presenting advanced systems, testing methods, and precision measuring machines critical to maintaining stringent industry standards.

BLECH ITALY SERVICE will serve as a hub for technical subcontracting and support services tailored to the sheet metal industry. By addressing the sector’s diverse needs, this segment will provide specialized expertise and solutions, fostering innovation and efficiency within the broader industry landscape.

Starting this year, LAMIERA will introduce a new Revamping & Retrofitting area for machines and plants that have been reconditioned and upgraded to meet the needs of the market. This aligns with circular economy criteria.

Alfredo Mariotti, General Director of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, stated, “With the positive market outlook expected in 2025, we anticipate that this 23rd edition of LAMIERA will surpass the previous one.” “Additionally, the decision to advance the exhibition by one day will allow us to align with international events in the sector,” Mariotti added. The new schedule will also coincide with “Made in Steel,” an exhibition focused on the steel industry, which will be held adjacent to LAMIERA halls from Tuesday to Thursday.

Side projects and initiatives will enhance the exhibition experience, including a rich program of meetings addressing key industry issues. The event will continue to attract international operators and educational initiatives.
