eOxigen Automotive, India’s first onsite EV repairing and maintenance company entered into an MoU with three other organisations – DIY Guru, Green Valley Energy and Mobility Alliance and Social Sustainable (MASS) Foundation to offer a comprehensive Electric Vehicle maintenance and service training programme. EVs are taking to the Indian roads increasingly to facilitate government’s EV plan, and eOxigen focuses on servicing and fulfilling the requirements of e-commerce logistics companies.
DIY Guru, the major partner of the MoU with eOxigen, is one of India’s oldest online EV training platforms with 4 million followers on YouTube. MASS Foundation engages in the EV ecosystem for faster adoption of Green mobility and reduction of ICE based fossil fuel burning. They are actively taking part in developing a green mobility community in India and abroad for environmental and technological challenges. Green Valley Energy was India’s first EV logistics fleet owner.
“With the increasing number of EVs on India roads, demand for maintenance and servicing is also expected to grow, creating demand for skilled EV maintenance and repairing personnel. The course is aimed at making trainees industry ready for India’s booming EV sector”, said Sujoy Chourasia, Founder of eOxigen Automotive.
The 7-days training course is aimed at making the trainees industry-ready. As part of the course, hands-on students will be introduced and trained in the areas such as wire harness electricals and connectivity of the powertrain. The training will also include wire harness of an L5 Electric Vehicle as well as a high-speed two-wheeler, complete Mechanical parts of a heavy L5 EV, Battery Configuration of the Vehicle, checking the health of the battery procedures to find anomalies, risk of leaking electricity, points of leakages, Welding Denting and painting of components or parts of the Vehicle etc.
Following 5 days of training, there will be a practical based examination on the sixth day where each team consisting of 4-5 members will be assessed in their preferred skill area from the course. Final results will be declared on the seventh days and trainees will be provided with certificates by MASS Foundation upon successfully passing the examination. Successful trainees will also get an opportunity to pursue a paid internship with eOxigen Automotive at any of its designated units. The training fee for the course is ₹5000 and the first batch is scheduled to start on 25th February 2021.
