Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Ltd. (KPCL) (BSE: 505283, NSE: KIRLPNU), a leading Indian provider of air, refrigeration, and gas compression solutions, announced robust financial results for Q2 FY25. The company posted a 53% increase in revenue and a 240% jump in profit before tax (PBT) compared to the same period last year, alongside a net profit rise of over 234%.
In Q2 FY25, KPCL’s total income reached ₹437 crore, up from ₹286 crore in Q2 FY24. PBT rose to ₹92 crore, representing 21% of total income, compared to ₹27 crore or 9% in Q2 FY24. The company’s order book as of October 1, 2024, was approximately ₹1,780 crore—23% higher than the beginning of Q3 FY24.
KPCL continues to generate about 94% of its revenue from its compression business, its primary operating segment. The company recently signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 55.26% stake in Systems & Components India Private Limited, strengthening its presence in refrigeration packages for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and dairy sectors.
This acquisition is expected to expand KPCL’s market reach within refrigeration and chiller packaging, with the transaction set to complete by December 2024. KPCL also launched the “Jarilo” Bio-compressor line, addressing new needs in the biogas sector.
In Q2 FY25, Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Ltd. (KPCL) reported strong financial growth, with revenue from operations reaching ₹431 crore, a 53% rise from ₹282 crore in Q2 FY24. Total income increased to ₹437 crore, up from ₹286 crore in the previous year’s quarter, while the EBITDA margin improved to 23% from 13%.
The profit before tax (PBT) stood at ₹92 crore, making up 21% of total income—a significant leap from ₹27 crore (9%) in Q2 FY24, reflecting over 240% growth. Net profit after tax also rose 240% to ₹68 crore (16% of total income), compared to ₹20 crore (7%) in the previous year’s quarter, and basic earnings per share (EPS) increased from ₹3.12 to ₹10.42.
For H1 FY25, KPCL’s revenue totaled ₹706 crore, up 35% from ₹524 crore in FY24, with an EBITDA of ₹143 crore (20% of revenue) compared to ₹68 crore (12.7%) in FY24. The PBT grew 156% year-over-year, reaching ₹128 crore from ₹50 crore in FY24, while net profit after tax climbed 147% to ₹94 crore from ₹38 crore. Basic EPS also improved, rising from ₹5.89 to ₹14.57.
