Designed to cater to precision multi-axis servo systems, the AKD2G 24A drive brings new dimensions to the AKD2G lineup, incorporating advanced safety features, SD card backup, and a graphical display. With a higher amperage capacity, this drive can effectively support applications that demand elevated power requirements, such as conveyors and vertical lifting mechanisms.
Setting itself apart from its counterparts, the AKD2G 24A servo drive excels by offering a remarkable 3 times increase in continuous current rating during peak operations, sustaining this level for up to 5 seconds. This attribute proves invaluable for intermittent-use scenarios, particularly those involving high-power servo motors. By harnessing this peak performance, customers may even consider downsizing their servo drives to the 24A variant, aided by Kollmorgen’s Motioneering sizing and selection tool that guides them through the decision-making process.
The reconfigurability of the new AKD2G 24A servo drive extends to safety levels, input/output options, feedback mechanisms, and Fieldbus compatibility.
