KLK Ventures has been awarded the contract under the Request for Selection (RfS) for the design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of off-grid DC solar photovoltaic (SPV) water pumping systems in Maharashtra. The project includes the deployment of 3HP, 5HP, and 7.5HP capacity solar-powered pumps at various designated locations across the state.
This initiative is part of the “MagelTyala Saur Krushi Pump” scheme, a key program led by the Government of Maharashtra to support sustainable agriculture by providing clean and consistent energy for irrigation. The scheme aims to reduce dependence on grid electricity and diesel-based systems.
Under the terms of the contract, KLK Ventures will also be responsible for providing a comprehensive system warranty, including repair and maintenance services for a period of five years. This ensures long-term functionality and continued support for the installed systems. The project is expected to contribute to improved irrigation infrastructure, enhanced energy access in rural areas, and increased agricultural productivity, while also promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources in the farming sector.
Akshat Jain, CEO of KLK Ventures, stated that the company looks forward to delivering reliable solar pumping systems that support farmers and align with Maharashtra’s broader clean energy and rural development objectives. With the contract awarded, KLK Ventures will begin project execution, covering both technical implementation and ongoing service responsibilities in accordance with the state’s renewable energy policy framework.
This development represents a significant step in the expansion of solar infrastructure in rural Maharashtra, contributing to both environmental sustainability and economic support for farmers through improved access to irrigation. KLK Ventures Private Limited is a prominent Indian renewable energy company with over 30 years of experience, originally founded as KL Khanna Gears Industries.
Transitioning into the solar and clean energy sectors in 2015, KLK Ventures has since established itself as a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, including solar modules, battery storage systems, and energy-efficient lighting. The company operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Noida and Bihar, producing Mono c-Si PERC solar modules, LiFePO₄ batteries, and solar streetlights, all of which have been approved by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and listed in the ALMM.
KLK Ventures has significantly contributed to India’s clean energy transition through various initiatives. Under the PM KUSUM Scheme, the company has installed over 1,300 solar water pumps in Jammu and Kashmir, benefiting farmers by providing sustainable irrigation solutions. Additionally, KLK Ventures has been actively involved in government projects such as the Uttar Pradesh Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) initiative, where it signed a Power Purchase Agreement for a 600 kW rooftop solar plant at Deoria Medical College, as part of a broader 5 MW allocation across the state.
