Kirloskar Solar has entered into a strategic partnership with Kochi-based GSL Energy Solutions, appointing them as the exclusive project partner for six districts in Kerala. This collaboration aims to develop solar projects capable of generating 5 MW of power, with an estimated project value of ₹25 crore for the 2024-25 financial year, according to a company release.

Jackson Mathew, CEO of GSL Energy Solutions, stated that the partnership will focus on both commercial and residential solar projects in the districts of Ernakulam, Kottayam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Kollam. Mathew highlighted Kerala’s strong potential for solar energy due to its sunny climate and available government subsidies. Currently, the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy provides a subsidy of ₹78,000 for residential solar installations ranging from 3 kW to 10 kW.

Suresh Simpson, General Manager (South) at Kirloskar Solar, emphasized that the partnership with GSL Energy Solutions will offer complete solar solutions, including after-sales support, with the promise of a return on investment within five years of installation.
