Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Ltd (KPCL) has released its financial results for the first quarter of FY25, highlighting significant growth. Revenue from operations rose by 13.6% to Rs. 275 Cr, compared to Rs. 242 Cr in the same period last year. Total income for the quarter reached Rs. 280 Cr, up from Rs. 248 Cr in Q1 FY24.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) surged by 53% to Rs. 35.9 Cr, an increase from Rs. 23.5 Cr the previous year. Net profit also saw a notable rise of over 50%, reaching Rs. 26.9 Cr, compared to Rs. 17.9 Cr in Q1 FY24. Order bookings for the quarter amounted to Rs. 421 Cr, and the total orders on hand as of 1st July 2024 were Rs. 1,618 Cr, marking a 20% increase from the same date last year.
The company faced challenges this quarter due to a very hot summer and a lengthy election process, but order inflows improved from June 2024. KPCL also signed an agreement to buy a controlling stake in M/S Systems & Components, a key player in refrigeration for various industries. This deal is expected to complete in Q2 FY25.
KPCL set a record by filing 15 new patents this quarter, showing progress in its R&D efforts. The compression business remains the main focus, making up about 92% of the company’s revenue.

Profit After Tax rose by 50% to INR 26.9 Cr. The order book expanded to INR 1,618 Cr, a 20% increase from INR 1,347 Cr in Q1 FY24. Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS) grew to INR 4.15, up from INR 2.77.
