Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL), a leading manufacturer of internal combustion engines, agricultural equipment, and generator sets, has announced its unaudited financial results for the second quarter and first half of FY 2025. The company achieved a notable 13% growth in standalone net sales, reaching INR 1,184 Crore in Q2 FY 2025, compared to INR 1,047 Crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
KOEL’s strong performance was driven by robust demand from the infrastructure and construction sectors, with the B2B segment growing by 17% year-on-year. However, the B2C segment experienced a decline of 13%, largely due to a planned transition at its plant. The company’s EBITDA for the quarter stood at INR 148 Crore, a 35% increase from the previous year, while its EBITDA margin improved to 12%, up from 10% in Q2 FY 2024. Additionally, the company posted a 48% increase in net profit, reaching INR 98 Crore for the quarter.
The company also highlighted its progress in operational efficiency, having completed the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Sanand and consolidating five of its manufacturing sites into a single unit in Ahmedabad.
For the first half of FY 2025, Kirloskar Oil Engines reported a 9% increase in standalone net sales to INR 2,518 Crore, with EBITDA rising by 18% to INR 321 Crore. The company’s net profit for the period increased by 22%, reaching INR 215 Crore.
On the consolidated front, Kirloskar Oil Engines saw a 15% increase in revenue from operations in Q2 FY 2025, totaling INR 1,500 Crore, and a 23% rise in net profit, reaching INR 106 Crore. For H1 FY 2025, consolidated revenue from operations grew by 10% to INR 3,136 Crore, while net profit rose by 10% to INR 239 Crore.
Gauri Kirloskar, Managing Director of KOEL, noted that the quarter marked the transition to CPCB IV+ emission norms, and the company remains optimistic about demand in the second half of the year, especially following a slower first half impacted by the election cycle.
