Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (KOEL) Reports Highest Ever Q1 Sales

Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (KOEL), a leading manufacturer of internal combustion engines, agricultural equipment, and generator sets, has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2024. The company has reported its highest ever Q1 sales, with a 6% increase in revenue year-on-year.

KOEL’s standalone business reported net sales of INR 1,334 crore for Q1 FY25, compared to INR 1,256 crore for Q1 FY24. The company’s EBITDA margin stood at 12.9% for the quarter, with an EBITDA of INR 174 crore. Net profit for the quarter increased by 7% year-on-year to INR 117 crore. The company’s B2B business grew by 5% year-on-year, while B2C business witnessed a double-digit growth of 14% year-on-year. Exports for the quarter grew by 15% year-on-year to INR 112 crore.

Commenting on the results, Gauri Kirloskar, Managing Director, Kirloskar Oil Engines, said, “We have had a good start to the year with our highest ever Q1 numbers for KOEL standalone. Our top-line growth of 6% is on a high base, and if we remove the pre-buy effect, the top-line growth is 18%. We are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming quarter, with the full implementation of CPCB IV+ emission norms.”
